Dr. Yvette Flores PT, CSCS, Senior Clinic Manager joined WVLG 640AM - 102.7FM on-air to discuss the different treatment options for vulnerable patient populations during COVID-19. During the interview, Dr. Flores addresses the urgent need, including concerns around the idea of patients becoming deconditioned due to isolation which can result in a rapid decline of their cardiovascular health, especially for patients that have pre-existing issues.

She also stresses the importance of educating the community at-large that there is a way to engage in safe, effective physical activities whether it’s through a physical therapist visiting a patient’s home or through a virtual telehealth video chat or even coming into a clinic where all equipment is continuously disinfected to ensure a clean and safe environment monitored to mitigate the spread of virus.
