Alumni Spotlight - Dr. Kami Owen

While training for a Martial Arts Championship in 2017, Dr. Kami Owen tore her ACL. As an Emergency Medicine Professional with over 30 years experience in the field, she knew surgery would be required. Even though her surgery was successful, she later developed a pain condition called Complex Regional Pain Syndrome which sent her into periodic and unbearable attacks of pain. Dr. Owen tried effortlessly to relieve herself from the pain, seeking help from the best and brightest minds in the largest medical center in Houston Texas and even getting a spinal stimulator, unfortunately her condition did not improve and the pain started to travel. On the verge of feeling like a mere shell of her own body, Dr. Owen started investigating alternate means of medicine in hopes to find something that could help put her life back together. As she continued down the road of alternative medicine, she learned from experts in the field and applied her learnings to her body, and ultimately healed herself from this condition that the brightest minds in Houston said was incurable.

When Dr. Owen was able to work again, she was passionate about applying some of her learnings to her practice, so she started seeking out formal education. During this search, she kept coming across the same University, Quantum University, and to her surprise, many of the experts she learned from during her own research turned out to be faculty of Quantum University!
