Concrete sawing contractor cut through my packer!!!!

A concrete sawing contractor core drilled through a rain drain. (Even though it was marked off and he was told where to drill.)

We film the line, see the issue and install the CIPP patch repair.

Well when we pulled out the packer we were in for a big surprise!

This is the story:

Two nights ago I get a phone call: "Yaacov, I need you to come tomorrow to fix a drain. A crew working in one of the apartments cut into a drain pipe."

So I get there, video the line and find the location where the concrete sawing company busted into the line.

"Yaacov," he later tells me, "we even clearly marked out the pipe and told them where to and where not to drill. And they still hit the pipe."

So I send in the material, wait for it to dry and pull out my equipment. As I normally do after a job I send in the camera again to check the final results. Hey, what is that. A hole? In the fiberglass patch? Shoot.

Well, that's never happened, but perhaps I didn't prep the pipe enough before hand and something cut the fiberglass while it was malleable and before it cured?

I'm prepping the material and getting ready to put in another repair when the building manager runs up.

"Yaacov, did they cut through the pipe AGAIN???"

And I say out loud: Is THAT what happened?

I then proceed over to the packer and examine it. Indeed, the same shaped cut in the plastic and the packer is cut!

"Yaacov, you won't believe it. We drew a line on the wall and told them exactly where to cut and they did it AGAIN!"

Can't make this stuff up!
