Tiger Woods crash in Rancho Palos Verdes

On 02-23-21 at approximately 7:15am, LASD and LACOFD responded to a traffic accident involving a single vehicle on Hawthorne Blvd south of Palos Verdes drive North. Units arrived to find a 2021 Genesis with major damage and on its side. LASD deputies arrived and began talking to the driver who was conscious. LACOFD arrived and began to extricate the driver with prying tools. The driver was extricated and transported to a local hospital in serious condition with injuries to his legs. The driver was identified as famous Golfer Tiger Woods. Woods was driving a courtesy car from Genesis Invitational, a PGA Tour event that he hosts at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades. The cause of the collision is unknown and is under investigation.
