The New 2020 Rolex Submariner White Gold Smurf!? - 126619LB Review(Hands On)

The Rolex 126619LB Submariner in white gold was the first one that got my attention from the 2020 new releases. I did not expect to get my hands on one this soon. I knew that just from the pictures that I was going to like it. Something about such a simple color combination that I knew would be a hit. The first thing that I wanted to see once I had it in person was the color of the bezel compared to the previous Rolex 116619LB better known as the "Smurf". In the pictures from the release the new version seemed to almost be more of a true blue where as the new black dial version seemed to be a bit more of a royal blue. Honestly in person it almost looks the same side by side. Almost as if the black dial makes it look different. Now that I have been able to see all the steel versions in person, I can say that the thicker buckle has grown on me and I really do not know why I even doubt Rolex. They know that they are doing. The real question is what is goin to happen with the price. Retail price is $39,650 and it is safe to say that the first couple will be over retail. How much? Probably over $10k minimum. The even bigger question is will it hold. We will have to see how limited this watch will be. The Rolex GMT Meteorite for example is a watch that is not very easy to come by and at the end, supply and demand will determine the price. I personally like this new Submariner and think that white gold is making a comeback in the sports model watches!
