Tourism Down 85% in Jamaica 2020 Pandemic (Best Time to Go Riu Palace Tropical Bay Negril Inclusive)

We vacationed in Negril Jamaica Riu Palace Tropical Bay at the end of November 2020 and it was the best decision we made all year. We booked using Agoda.com and got a room for 7 nights all inclusive at the resort for about a grand, not including the flight and taxi drive to the airport. I think normally it's double that price or more. A lot of things are closed outside the resort due to the pandemic currently but if you want to relax and enjoy the sun this is the place to go. All your meals and drinks are included. They have activities, live shows, karaoke, gym, tubing, chess, etc at the resort, but honestly I stayed on the beach the majority of the time with a daiquiri and rum in hand. We left only once to go see Barney's Flower & Hummingbird Garden which was incredible. It is a family friendly resort with a super friendly staff. It's very safe for children and I never felt uneasy one time. I believe the resort was built around 2005 but it has been remodeled recently and frankly it looks brand new from the rooms to the exterior property and pools. There is normally a bar in the room but due to the pandemic that has been removed and they do serve you at the buffet bars instead of self serve. So you will have to wait a minute or so for a staff member to get to you. I loved having red wine during dinner and a nice cup of Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. The best! I can promise you whenever you book you'll get as good as a deal as I got, but you never know due nobody going right now. I'm not a people person but even I kind of missed seeing a huge array of people.
