Want to learn more ways to use essential oils? Sign up for Aromahead Institute's free online class, the Introduction to Essential Oils! https://www.aromahead.com/courses/online/introduction-to-essential-oils

The class is a great way to build a solid foundation in the understanding and use of essential oils...and it's completely FREE!
This is a recipe for a beautiful solid perfume. This base is made of beeswax and jojoba wax. Once you learn to make the base, you can add any essential oils you like to create your own blends.

This recipe comes from my book, Essential Living: Aromatherapy Recipes for Health and Home. https://www.aromatics.com/products/book-essential-living

You’ll find more essential oil blend suggestions for this perfume in the book, but the base remains the same.
Melt using the double boiler method (a Pyrex measuring cup in a pot):

1 oz (28 gm) Beeswax (Cera alba) (1:35)
3 oz (90 ml) Jojoba wax (Simmondsia chinensis) (2:45)
Once your waxes are all melted, you can add your essential oils right into the blend:

5 drops Cypress essential oil (Cupressus sempervirens) (6:25)
6 drops Juniper Berry essential oil (Juniperus communis) (7:02)
6 drops Vintage Patchouli essential oil (Pogostemom cablin) (7:40)
Pour your blend into three or four 1 oz (30 ml) solid perfume tins (I get them from Aromatics International https://www.aromatics.com/products/aluminium-lip-balm-tins ). You may even be able to fill five! Place the cap over the tin after you pour, so the essential oils don’t evaporate.

Note: If you want the essential oil aroma to be more pronounced, you can double or even triple the drops for this blend. Smell it as you make it, and increase the drops before you pour the hot liquid into the tins.

Enjoy!
