LEOPARD ON TREETOP

Maasai Mara.It was around 12 noon on 20 October, 2013. Our land cruiser screeched to a halt. And we stood dumbfounded near the lone umbrella acacia in the vast savannah. The leopard was on the treetop, panting, with its kill hanging on the branches nearby. It turned to see us but ignored our presence. Perhaps it was taking rest after a laborious effort to catch its prey.
