Building a Bike Boat Catamaran

I live in a city with a lot of water and I have wanted to have some kind of boat for a long time. I don't have any place near the water where I can store a boat, so it had to be transportable and not too big. And yet I wanted enough space for 2-3 people to relax on it comfortably without space problems or you know.. sinking.
I also needed it to be human powered because any kind of motor(even electric) is forbidden on Hamburg waterways inside the city. And you know I'm into bikes so rowing was out of the question - and that's how my biggest project yet started.

Building this took about 4 months, the planning took almost as long because I had to figure out how to build the largest, lightest boat possible within the limitations of my small shop and with the toolset that I have while not spending a fortune on it. I also needed it to be bike transportable because I don't own a car and if I did.. it probably wouldn't fit in anyway.
This is not the perfect boat for everyone but it's what I came up with for my set of circumstances. As with most things I make, I had no real clue about boats before this and I still don't!
