284 - Hosanna to the living King

1. Hosanna to the living King; our Lord be praised forever!
Omnipotent Redeemer, our blessed Hope is He.
Glory, glory to our Saviour; He’s the Word that faileth never,
And life for the believer only in our Lord can be.

2. The Righteous and the Powerful was sent for our salvation.
On earth He was a servant ; the Father He obeyed.
On the cross His life He offered; He endured humiliation.
The Lord arose triumphant, and our peace with God He made.

3. As we are in this world of woe, our Glory is the Saviour.
Our Strength and mighty Fortress, He freed us from all fear.
Only through Him we can vanquish; we have vict’ry and His favor.
Sing praises unto Jesus, our Redeemer, ever near.
