Summer Webinars: May 28 - Exploring Conservation Genomic Data in R

Join the SCBNA Student Affairs Committee for the ninth webinar in our professional development series for the 2024/25 programmatic year(s). Over the past two decades, population genetic sequencing data have become more widely available for organisms with conservation or management concerns. This webinar will provide a brief overview of some of the most common data types and research questions in conservation genetics. Additionally, participants will characterize patterns of genetic diversity, population structure, and parent-offspring relationships for three simulated single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) datasets they generate in R.
