Flathead Tunnel Part 1
Spent the day at Flathead tunnel which is located in North West Montana on the BNSF's Northern Transcon, Kootenai subdivision. It's the second longest railroad tunnel in North America at 7.2 miles long (36,955').
Caught a GP40M #3007 on an eastbound manifest train and was surprised by, and almost missed, GP39-3 #2689 and GP 39-E #2900 running light westbound. I believe those two are the local switcher out of Whitefish Mt.
