Flathead Tunnel and Montana
About to enter Flathead Tunnel; a 6.8 mile long tunnel between Libby and Whitefish. Flathead Tunnel is the second longest tunnel in North America.
I have been in this tunnel as long as 25 minutes and this twelve minute video is a quick ride through considering my past experiences with this tunnel and the Cascade Tunnel. Cascade Tunnel is 7.8 miles long and is North America's longest rail tunnel.
