Yukon River and Alaska pipeline (See description)

40 miles from the Arctic Circle now.
big fires almost closed the Dalton Highway before we crossed.
A cool lonely Alaskan lady picked me up and drove me to the Yukon River.
coldfoot is about 115 miles away now.
light traffic (about 1 vehicle every 7 minutes).
I'm at a place called Yukon Camp. has a restaurant and showers and firefighters from hell.
Good Lord it's $15 for a burger and $8 for salmon chowder but the chowder is awesome. salmon caught here on the river.
