The 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic is a winning mix of style, comfort, speed, and excitement. The starting point was the 911 Turbo, a 572-horsepower all-wheel-drive land missile with the automaker's quick-shifting PDK dual-clutch transmission, yet the Sport Classic is rear-wheel-drive and features the Carrera line's seven-speed manual transmission. Yes, the engine is detuned to 543 horsepower, and torque took a hit to 442 pound-feet from 550, but it weighs several hundred pounds less. In this video, Manny takes an extended drive in the Sport Classic, gives us his impressions, and tells us why it feels more like a tribute to the original 930-generation 911 Turbo than the 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Porsche has likened it to in marketing materials.
