4K - ABANDONED SASKATCHEWAN - Highway Overpass Over Abandoned Rail near Prince Albert, SK

One of the few Saskatchewan examples of an abandoned overpass over an abandoned rail line.

In 1915, the Grand Trunk Pacific Railroad completed the railway north from Wakaw to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

This overpass was built in the 1930's and used until Highway 2 south of Prince Albert was straightened in the 1960's. The train continued to pass underneath it until the rail line was abandoned in 1983.

A big thank you to the Prince Albert Historical Society for their help in the completion of this video!
