No Oil Red Lentil Flat Bread-2 Ingredients
This recipe red lentil flat bread quick and easy, no oil and is gluten free. This no oil red lentil flat bread only requires 2 ingredients! So versatile, you can make sweet or savory. Here is what you will need for this 2 ingredient red lentil flat bread:
*Ingredients*
1 cup red lentils
2 cups water
pinch of salt
*Instructions*
add the lentils to the water and let soak for at least three hours. It is very important to let the lentils soak for at least three hours to ensure a creamy batter.
After at least three hours of soaking add the lentils and the water, (no need to rinse) to a bullet or blender, add a pinch of salt and blend till smooth.
Next heat a non stick skillet until drops of water bead up when you drop them on the surface.
pour about a 1/3 cup of the batter onto the skillet, immediately lift the skillet and gently swirl it so the batter spreads out. Cook for one minute and then gently go around the edges with a spatula then flip and cook for an additional 30 seconds to a minute, then remove from pan and place on a cooling rack. Let cool completely and store in an airtight container for up to a week. These red lentil flat breads also freeze great. Make them sweet by adding peanut butter or jam or make them savory by adding hummus.
