Idaho Archery Elk Hunt SOLO - Stuck N the Rut 141

It has been a rough 2020 for many. In the middle of a pandemic, the best way to do some social distancing is to spend some time up in the mountains. On this hunt, I had to go solo. Hunting in areas with high wolf numbers have been very challenging, but from hiking several miles, I have finally found a little pocket of elk that the wolves have left alone. Although this was going to be a far pack, I had to decide if I was willing to pack an elk this far, or go empty handed without an elk. Hunting solo, calling solo, and filming solo, makes this hunt more challenging than ever. Bugling in elk is a blast. Although my plan to harvest this elk with my bow was falling apart at the last minute, I was able to improvise and get a good shot at 48 yards.
