The Essex beavers have finally arrived at Spains Hall Estate!
Occupying two 50-acre enclosures, the new arrivals will get to work doing what beavers do best, building dams. Dams not only help reduce the risk of flooding but also slow down the flow of water during a drought. Creating natural wetlands that are rich in biodiversity, beavers truly transform the landscape.
We are delighted to have partnered with Spains Hall Estate, Environment Agency, Essex and Suffolk Water, Essex County Council and the RFCC on this unique project. Watch our video to find out more.
