Sewing tutorial on how to sew a cloth pad with hidden core (also known as floating or invisible core) where the core stitching is not visible, but is secured with a hidden, floating piece of fabric.
1. I use ZORB and FLANNEL (brushed cotton) combo as a core. Zorb is incredibly absorbent and the layer of cotton flannel adds extra bit of absorbency and prevents pressure leaks.
I bought my Zorb at wazoodle. com
2. For topper fabric (that goes against the skin) I use (here) 100% COTTON, but you can also use minky, cotton flannel and performance pique.
3. For backing I use FLEECE. Fleece helps the liquid not leak, with the combo of the zorb and flannel core.
4. For the floating core I use flannel, but muslin is also good. I like flannel as it gives the pad 1 extra layer of absorbency.
5. I'm using plastic KAM snaps and KAM snap press, available on Amazon. Snaps are size 20 also known as T5.
The pad pattern is Moonrise by Versodile
(she has etsy shop and fb group)
The machine I use is the BROTHER XR3140
