Face-to-Face encounter w/ the Mighty Polar Bear in Churchill, Canada, Nov. 2021

Here's sharing w/ you our fascinating journey to the sub-artic region of the western shores of Hudson Bay and the remote northern town of Churchill, Canada. Watch our awesome face-to-face thrilling encounter w/ the Mighty Polar Bear, the world largest predator & land carnivore in their natural habitat. They have also been called "Sea Bear" (Ursus Maritimus) or "Ice Bear" because they spend most of their time on the sea ice. They are incredible strong swimmers. Churchill have the highest concentration of Polar Bears in the world & therefore boasts as the "Polar Bear Capital of the World." Bears gather in Churchill during late October &/or November in anticipation of the freezing & sea ice formation at south-western Hudson Bay. These images were taken on the western shores of Hudson Bay, the Tundra landscape of Wapusk National Park & the frozen Hudson Bay. Views also includes our accommodations at the Churchill Northern Studies Center and at the Mobile Tundra Buggy Lodge Train and our exciting day on the tundra.
