After a five-year hiatus, Japan lost its position at the top of the world’s most powerful passport ranking, moving down to third place. Sharing the second spot are Germany, Italy, and Spain. In the 2023 Henley Passport Index, Singapore claimed the first position. Singaporeans enjoy visa-free access to 192 out of 227 travel destinations worldwide. Over the past decade, this Southeast Asian nation has gained visa-free entry to 25 countries, securing its top ranking.
