‘US will crush coronavirus with vaccine by year end’: Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump spoke at the Republican convention after accepting the party’s nomination for a second term. Speaking on the Covid pandemic, Trump said that his government had done a stellar job at dealing with the ‘China virus’. He said that they produced the largest number of ventilators and ensured that not a single American citizen who needed a ventilator was denied one. Trump added that his government provided millions of masks and other preventive equipments to frontline health workers in the country. Trump added that the US saved around 50 million jobs and witnessed the smallest economic contraction among Western countries. President Trump also mocked his opponent Joe Biden’s Covid strategy sand said that it was not a solution but a surrender to the virus. Trump also pushed for opening up states controlled by Democrats and said that a shutdown will only add to the woes of the American people.
