What Should Universities Do About Encampments?

Baton-wielding police officers cleared a pro-Palestine encampment at the University of Alberta, prompting loud criticism from current and former faculty and staff. But not everybody opposes the move. University president Bill Flanagan defended calling in the cops, saying "escalating (demonstrator) actions put the university community’s safety at risk."
