Masai Schools: Learning In The Masai Mara

Education is a high priority in the Masai Mara, Kenya, but resources are often scarce. Children wake up before dawn and walk through the land that they share with dangerous animals to make it to school on time. A few Masai have set up their own schools, some holding lessons beneath a tree. We visited the Masai schools to talk with the founders, headteachers and staff about what schooling is like in the Masai Mara and what challenges they and their students face.
