Father and Son Reaction to The Beatles! First Time Listening To Abbey Road Full Album Review!

The Beatles’ famous album "Abbey Road", is up for review today, and we give our reactions to The Beatles’ classic in a track by track format! This is the first time we listened to Abbey Road in full, and have now completed their discography!

We will move onto Past Masters Vol. 1 and 2 next, before reviewing their best solo albums! Thanks so much to everyone who has been with us on this awesome journey, we appreciate everyone watching and supporting the channel!

• 11th of 12 UK Albums – although recorded after Let It Be. Was the last recording sessions which all 4 Beatles participated.
Ranked # 14 in the Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.

1. Come Together (Lennon) – Written primarily by Lennon. Rolling Stones #202 on their list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, released as a single coupled with "Something". Reached #1 in the US and #4 in the UK.

2. Something (Harrison) – written by Harrison. #278 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". Received the Ivor Novello Award for the "Best Song Musically and Lyrically" of 1969.

3. Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (McCartney) – Written by McCartney, pop song with dark, eccentric lyrics about a medical student named Maxwell Edison who commits murders with a hammer.

4. Oh! Darling (McCartney) –Written by McCartney in a doo-wop style, who later said I came into the studios early every day for a week to sing it by myself because at first my voice was too clear.

5. Octopus’s Garden (Starr) – Written by Richard Starkey. Harrison, who assisted Starr with the song, commented: "'Octopus's Garden' is Ringo's song. It's only the second song Ringo has ever written, mind you, and it's lovely."

6. I Want You (She’s So Heavy) (Lennon) - Was the 1st song recorded for the album but one of the last songs to be finished, on August 20 1969, the last time all four Beatles were together in the studio. Lennon wrote the song about his love for Yoko Ono.

7. Here Comes The Sun (Harrison) – Lyrics reflect his relief at both the arrival of spring and the temporary respite he was experiencing from the band's business affairs.

8. Because (Lennon, McCartney and Harrison) – Written by Lennon, inspired by him listening to Ono playing Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" on the piano.

9. You Never Give Me Your Money (McCartney) – Written by McCartney, documented the financial and personal difficulties facing the band. Was 1st to be recorded for the medley, which was conceived by McCartney and Martin as a finale for the Beatles' career.

10. Sun King (Lennon with McCartney and Harrison) –

11. Mean Mr. Mustard (Lennon) – Written by Lennon in India and was recorded with "Sun King" in one continuous piece.

12. Polythene Pam (Lennon) – Written by Lennon during stay in India.

13. She Came In Through The Bathroom Window (McCartney) – Written by McCartney who said the song was inspired by Apple scruffs, who broke into McCartney's home.

14. Golden Slumbers (McCartney) – Written by McCartney and is followed by "Carry That Weight", The two songs were recorded together as a single piece, based on the poem "Cradle Song".

15. Carry That Weight (McCartney with Lennon, Harrison, and Starr) – Written by McCartney, It notably features unison vocals in the chorus from all four Beatles, a rarity in their songs.

16. The End (McCartney) – Composed by McCartney, last song recorded collectively by all four Beatles. McCartney said, "I wanted [the medley] to end with a little meaningful couplet."

17. Her Majesty (McCartney) - McCartney is the only Beatle to appear on the track. Appears 14 seconds after the previous song "The End", but was not listed on the original sleeve. As such, it is considered one of the first examples of a hidden track in rock music.
