Can you trust a Qatari news organisation who have been at the centre of controversies in the past?

A quick video we wouldn’t usually post but something that has been turning up in our comments and across our feeds - we felt we couldn’t ignore it. A questionable documentary by Al Jazeera on Malaysia’s handling of Coronavirus Lockdown and Migrant Workers called ‘Locked Up in Malaysia’s Lockdown’

As foreigners who have been living in Kuala Lumpur throughout the lockdown, we thought we should add our honest experience and perspectives on the video.

The documentary if you haven’t seen it paints a grim and sad picture of Kuala Lumpur, which we feel isn’t correct (especially after living here since February). Did you know KL was voted the 2nd most friendly city in the world - I guess Al Jazeera forgot to comment on that…

We have tried to avoid anything too political and keep within personal opinions.
