Evacuating Dunkirk Under Attack From German Bomber Planes | WW2: I Was There

In 1937 John Hamilton joined the Army reserve, known as the Territorial Army, with a group of friends. He enlisted in a heavy anti-aircraft regiment and when war broke out expected to re-main on home soil in a defence role. Fast-forward to 1940 and John found himself amongst the thousands of British troops requiring evacuation from Dunkirk under heavy attack from German ‘Stuka’ bomber aircraft.
