The interest rates being talked about here, refer to the bank rate, at which banks can borrow money from the Reserve Bank of India, or RBI. To understand the importance of this relation between the markets and the rates, Mr. Bajaj will first discuss the usage of the bank rate as a tool to control the macroeconomic situation in the market. Following this, we will talk about the various factors affecting the bank rate.

Continuing the analysis from the last video, Mr. Bajaj factored in the bank rates prevailing from the year 2000 till 2020, to observe that they have followed a pattern of rising and falling in tune with the performance of the economy, the earning yield, and the earnings of the companies under the Nifty.

Following the showing of this pattern, Mr. Bajaj discusses possible reasons behind this very visible relationship. Further, we will discuss the implications of this relationship on the companies of the Nifty.
