Canada: ‘This one unmarked grave is what genocide looks like’
Canada's Prime Minister says that the discovery of remains of 215 children found at the site of a former so-called residential school is part of a larger tragedy.
It’s been one week since the remains of 215 children were found near the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in Canada.
Last week's discovery is a reminder of the country's brutal legacy of colonialism.
While many were outraged, for indigenous communities, it came as no surprise.
