Al Jazeera investigates: Bangladesh politician accused of money laundering
Al Jazeera's Investigative Unit can now reveal how a Bangladeshi politician on a thirteen-thousand-dollar a year salary, built a half a billion dollar property empire.
Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, a former land minister, purchased hundreds of luxury apartments in London, New York and Dubai.
He’s now being investigated for money laundering, after the fall of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government.
