Only in a month, SpaceX sent astronauts into orbit two times.
And now, SpaceX announced that six Crew Dragon launches per year are a sustainable goal. 50 percent more than it currently does. The company is even able to reach 13 launches per year.
This certainly comes as a shock to the space industry, especially Boeing.

SpaceX successfully launched a group of astronauts for NASA a few days ago. This happened less than 39 hours after returning the private astronaut crew of Axiom’s Ax-1. This is the company’s seventh human spaceflight to date and the fourth operational crew launch for NASA.
To count, Elon Musk’s company has sent 26 people to orbit in less than two years.
More impressively, a senior manager has just confirmed that SpaceX could sustainably launch six or more Crew Dragons per year if the market for private missions grows large enough to demand it.
Benji Reed, Senior Director of Human Spaceflight Programs, offered his thoughts on the matter in a press conference following SpaceX’s successfully recovery of Crew Dragon and four private Axiom-1 astronauts from the Gulf of Mexico, marking the end of the first all-private mission to the International Space Station (ISS). Asked what kind of launch cadence SpaceX believes it could handle going forward, Reed stated that he “would love to see…half a dozen crew flights…or more” per year and believes that “SpaceX can sustain that [pace] if there’s a market for it.”
Talking about launching, Benji Reed also said: "A high flight rate is so very important. So important. We should be launching every day. Every hour."
This is definitely a humiliation with SpaceX’s biggest rival: Boeing.
