Tahoe National Forest | hiking best hidden waterfalls in northern California | East Fork Falls

November 2020. One of the most stunning hidden waterfalls in northern California is East Fork Falls on the East Fork of the North Fork of the North Fork American River (EFNFNFAR for short). It is a personal favorite. Near Emigrant Gap, California, Tahoe National Forest. It is an adventure to get there with a steep descent through forest and river crossings as well. And when you arrive, it is just magical. A beautiful 32 ft. waterfall dropping into a gorgeous emerald green pool surrounded by massive cliffs. It is truly amazing.
