History of jewelry, L'Art Nouveau 1890~1910

As the "New Art" Art Nouveau is from 1890 to 1910 overlapped with the Edwardian and Victorian eras. Art nouveau was called Jugendstil in Germany, Sezessionstil in Austria, Arte Joven in Spain and Tiffany style in USA.
Curvaceous this style was used in architecture and elaborate jewelry design. This movement was also inspired by a vogue for the liner patterns of Japanese prints. The ornamental characteristic of Art Nouveau is its undulating asymmetrical line, taking the form of flower stalks, vine tendrils insect wings, and sinous natural objects coating on the surface of metal.
