【Hunan 4K】Inside A BULLET TRAIN | China After COVID Crisis | 高铁

Hi, friends, My name is Max, and I love to share the pure view of China. Today I'll show you an journey of high speed train in Hunan Province of China.

China High Speed Trains(Bullet Trains), also known as bullet or fast trains, can reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
Over 2,800 pairs of bullet trains numbered by G, D or C run daily connecting over 550 cities in China and covering 33 of the country's 34 provinces.
The development of high-speed rail (HSR) is one of the high priority programs in China. China's HSR network has become the most heavily used transportation system in the world.
It is the world's longest high speed railway network, and is also the most extensively used. China's HSR accounts for two-thirds of the world's total high-speed railway networks.
COST:
From Beijing to Shanghai, a soft sleeper non-bullet rail ticket costs CNY500.5/ 521.5, a second class seat China high speed rail ticket costs CNY553/ 558, while the full airfare of an economy class is over CNY1,000.
China spent about 803 billion yuan ($116.8 billion) on railway projects and put 4,683 km of new track into operation in 2018, of which 4,100 km were for high-speed trains.
As of the end of last year, the total length of China's high-speed railways rose to 29,000 km, more than two-thirds of the world's total.
China train tickets can be purchased 58 days in advance at train stations and local ticket agencies in China. Again, you'll need a valid ID such as your passport to buy a China train ticket. The ticket windows at Chinese train stations are open 24 hours a day.
There are five ways to buy train tickets in China:
1. Book online with a travel agency like China Highlights.
2. Buy tickets at a train station.
3. Buy tickets at a ticket office.
4. Book at China Railway's official website.
5. Book ticket by telephone.
Can foreigners buy train tickets online in China?

YES.

You can buy China train tickets online up to 60 days in advance and at least 35 minutes before the train's departure. If you want to have your China train tickets delivered to your chosen address, you'll need to purchase train tickets at least three days prior to departure.
Are bullet trains dangerous?
While the crash is still talked about in China today, statistics suggest that China's high-speed trains have actually proved to be one of the world's safest transportation systems so far.
Other countries' experience shows that high-speed rail can be even safer than the much slower U.S. trains. The bullet trains that zoom through France and Japan, for instance, testify to the astonishing safety offered by well-managed rail services.
This video was filmed on April 11, 2020. and it was a cloudy day.
