Step One - Adding Vinyl Roll To Printer:
When making t-shirts with your print and cut system, you want to use a premium quality printable vinyl. We recommend the Roland HeatSoft Plus Vinyl.
Step Two - Inserting Vinyl Roll:
Ensure the pin on your roll is on the same side as your print head. This is the opposite side of the locking lever.
Step Three - VersaWorks Software:
Bring your cut ready art file into the VersaWorks software and double click on the print job to bring up the advanced options. In here you need to click "get media width" then select your vinyl type and select your cut force.
For the Roland HeatSoft Printable Vinyl, we recommend a cut force of 80.
The glossy permanent adhesive paper is our favorite for making stickers. See how it works in this video: https://youtu.be/5RIRYhLs6pA
Step Four - Print & Cut:
This next step your printer will do all by itself! This is a great time to get some other things done around your shop. When it's done printing and cutting you can use some scissors to remove it from the machine.
Step Five - Weeding:
Now it's time to weed your design, or remove the excess pieces of vinyl. Anytime you apply a big vinyl design to a shirt it's going to have a little bit of a hand feel. A good way to make it feel better is to create some negative space for your shirt to breath. We use a weeding pick to help get the pieces free.
Step Six - Apply Mask:
Next step to turning this into a transfer is to apply the mask. The mask will go over the top of your design and be pressed on with a squeegee.
Step Seven - Heat Press On Your Favorite Shirt
One of my favorite things about the BN20 and these printed transfers is that they stick onto so many different type of fabrics. They can go on both cotton or polyester shirts. Heat press the design at 300 degreed for 15 seconds and remove the transfers carrier sheet when it's still hot!
