Operation Paperclip: America Secretly Recruited Nazi Scientists | The Untold Story

After World War II, the United States launched one of the most controversial secret programs in history—Operation Paperclip.

More than 1,600 German scientists, engineers, and technical experts were brought to America, including Wernher von Braun, despite many having worked for Nazi Germany during the war.

Their expertise helped advance U.S. missile technology and played a major role in the Apollo program that eventually sent humans to the Moon. Supporters argued the program strengthened national security and helped America win the Space Race. Critics questioned whether scientific progress came at the expense of justice.
