How to escape from Glen Sannox on the Isle of Arran I Grade 1 scrambling...and a bit of geology

Starting at Sannox on the east coast of Arran, we take the path into Glen Sannox. The cool breeze keeps the midges away and we have the glen to ourselves.
There seems to be no way out at the head of the glen but a geological feature provides us with our escape route. The dolerite dyke has eroded to form a natural ladder and we enjoy some grade one scrambling before popping out onto The Saddle which separates Glen Sannox from Glen Rosa
On the ridge up to North Goat Fell we enjoy some more easy scrambling on the super-grippy granite before heading south along the ridge to Goat Fell and then down to Brodick.
