Fix a Date Field Problem in Knack (Using Conditional Rules)
In this quick Knack tutorial, I show you how to fix a confusing date field issue that can break filtering and sorting in your Knack app. The problem happens when you use an equation field to pull in a date from a connected table — it looks like a date, but it does quite operate like a date field.

The solution? Use a conditional rule to copy the date into a real date field in your table. Once you do that, filtering and sorting will work correctly.
I also explain an important Knack limitation: filters and sorts only work with native fields in the table — not fields pulled in from connected records.
