Industrial Deaerators - SteamWorks

Deaerators are a critical component in plants for delivering quality feedwater to steam boilers. There are several designs and configurations for deaerators. Typically tray type or spray type, also known as scrubber type, are commonly found in boiler rooms. Both of them work on the same general principle. Steam is combined in the pressure vessel with make-up water. The steam allows for rapid heating of the feed water that naturally strips the water molecules of oxygen. Oxygen is vented to the atmosphere and essentially distilled water is left behind until being pumped into the boiler for steam production.
