Solo Hiking in Arizona - South Mountain Mormon Trail

Last week I flew to Phoenix, Arizona for work. On my first day after a long flight, I did some desert hiking on the Mormon Trail on South Mountain. I hiked through Fat Man's Pass and the natural tunnel. The weather was unusually mild for this time of year and although I was hiking in the hottest part of the day, the temps only reached 82 degrees. Hiking in the Arizona desert is so different from the Great Smoky Mountains, but I absolutely LOVED it!!
