Lunt Herschel Wedge Review

A review of the Lunt Herschel wedge and first images and video after 10 months of use. The Herschel Wedge, also known as a solar wedge, is the best way to observe the sun in white light, safely by selectively reflecting away a vast majority of the Sun's light, the Lunt Herschel Wedge allows astronomers to safely study sunspots in exceptional detail with much better contrast and crisper views.

The solar wedge from Lunt that I am using is 1.25 inches for use with refractors under 4 inches. Had the Lunt Herschel Wedge for just under a year now, and after using solar film for years (and had images published using solar film) can confirm that the images using a Herschel wedge are far superior and crisper.
