Rome Termini to Civitavecchia MSC Cruise Port 2020

12th January 2020, embarkation day. This quick video shows our experience getting from Rome Termini station to Civitavecchia station and eventually to the MSC cruise port Terminal Amerigo Vespucci.
We stayed in the Gioberti Art Hotel, conveniently located next to the station. Our tickets were booked online at www.trainline.com. We took the fast train to Civitavecchia. Available every 2 hours with an average journey time of 45mins. We bought 1st class tickets at around 10-15 Euros each way depending on time of day.
Once we arrived at Civitavecchia station we purchased tickets for the Argo shuttle bus to take us to the MSC port entrance. Tickets can be purchased inside the station shop for 2 Euros each. The bus stop is opposite the front of the station. The journey takes around 10mins. If you prefer, you can walk to the MSC cruise port along the promenade. 15-20 mins gentle stroll.
