How To Sharpen A Siberian Yakut Knife

Sharpening a Siberian Yakut knife is no different than any other knife. If anything it's even simpler. With its unique geometry, you only sharpen the flat side and leave the convex side untouched.

To maintain the correct angle all you do is lay the blade flat against the stone. When you're done you finish by stropping both sides. That's it. The deep fuller also means there is very little metal to remove. Much less than a single bevel Scandinavian style knife.
