Haji Isam's Crypto Exchange, ICEX, is Officially Open GET OJK PERMIT

The Indonesian crypto asset industry has entered a new phase after the Financial Services Authority (OJK) officially issued an operational license to a new crypto exchange entity linked to national conglomerate Haji Isam.

This crypto exchange is seen as a significant addition to strengthening the regulated digital asset trading ecosystem in the country.

The lengthy licensing process finally paid off after the OJK added the exchange to its official list of licensed digital financial asset and crypto exchange operators.

The presence of this exchange will increase options for local investors and create healthy competition amidst the previous dominance of a single major operator.
Hasan Fawzi, Chief Executive of the Financial Sector Technology Innovation, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets Supervisory Agency at OJK, confirmed the licensing of the crypto exchange. The decision was issued on January 5, 2025.

"Yes, a decision has been issued to grant a business license to PT Fortuna Integritas Mandiri, a digital financial asset exchange operator, including crypto assets, through Decree KEP-2/D.07/2026, dated January 5, 2026," Hasan stated, as reported by CNBC.

According to circulating information, the crypto exchange backed by Samsudin Andi Arsyad, better known to the public as Haji Isam, has established a management structure and is ready to operate with a focus on openness, transparency, and efficient transaction services.
