Wish You Were Here (River Phoenix, 25 Years Later)

It has been said that every ending is also a new beginning. For those who know or know of River Phoenix, October 31st is infamous for the day he passed away. It may mark the last of him in a physical sense, but this is not the end of River. His legacy still goes on. It is not in his movies or sensationalized, untimely death, for the materialistic can only last for so long, but in the unconditional love he gave to all of those around him.

It was not an actor who left that night. It was a man. It was someone's son and brother; someone's friend. He was the one who made them smile and laugh; the one that brought so much joy into their lives. They are the ones who remember him best, the way that he should be. Because of this legacy they have been left with, River will never be gone. His life will never be over. He will continue to grow in every heart that chooses to listen to his message of love, peace, and acceptance for all that is living.
