“Chaos. What is chaos? Is it evil or good? A destructive force or order? It is all of these. The world emerged from chaos! This piece for string quartet will tell you the story of thoughts, the story of that part of my subconscious that came forth. Here, as in chaos, you will hear both order and disorder. You will hear the creation of the world, decline, and a glimmer of hope for the future.
The work is composed in two parts:
First part - Adagio
Second part - Vivace
Feel it, immerse yourself in this world!”

About the Project
Music by young Lviv composers, written during the full-scale war, sounds like the voice of youth who live and reflect, dream, fight, and continue to create.
The concert of student composers is a continuation of the "Music of Young Composers" project, which started in 2020 at the Lviv Organ Hall. As part of the strategy to promote Ukrainian classical music, Ukrainian Live, in collaboration with the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy and the Lviv Organ Hall, the project introduces young artists and presents their work.
This is music on the edge of time. A reflection of the present and a temporary escape into a parallel reality, it is a chronicle of the war intertwined with memories from peaceful life and dreams of victory.

Ostap Manulyak, Bohdana Frolyak – composers, associate professors at the Department of Composition of the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy.
