Spotlight Beauty and the Beast

Last fall Wayzata High School produced an excellent run of Beauty and the Beast. They decided before they even ran the show to submit it to the Spotlight Education program run by Hennepin Theatre Trust. Over 80 schools throughout Minnesota participate in the Spotlight program and every June they roll out their Spotlight Showcase show at the State Theater in Minneapolis bringing together the excellent aspects of productions judged and critiqued by professionals from throughout the year. It's an invaluable educational opportunity for high school students and Wayzata High shows they can present excellent musical theater as good as anybody as they garnered an Outstanding Overall Performance recognition from Spotlight.
