Dana 44 Hub Overview.

Sorry it's a long one. I'm working on final assembly of the Dana 44 front axle in my Jeep J10. The amount of money I've spent on this axle that I know I'm going to break at some point is ridiculous. That is not the point of this video. I choose to use 70s Spicer locking hubs on this axle. They are super STOUT and hold up very well. I did not have a set and bought a used set for $40. Absolutely money well spent. The mile marker hubs are inexpensive but are produced that way. The Warn premium hubs are pretty good but they are very expensive. The 1980s Warn hub that ford used at the time like I have here is not much better than the Mile Marker. Ultimately I would love to have a set of the Yukon locking hubs but that is not in my budget and probably never will be. Interestingly enough the Yukon hubs are based off of the Spicer hubs.
