Storing fishing rods and reels can be quite difficult unless you have a special rack for them. Here’s a design for a rack that not only works but will also look great wherever it’s kept.

I found this plan on Minwax's website a little while ago and decided to start making this fishing pole racks to create a nice piece of furniture that would fit in with any decor. Minwax plans call for oak, however I have build these using Cherry & Walnut.

The completed project uses approx. 12 feet of wood that is 5.5 inches in width. The hight of the completed rack is 40 inches and approx. 24 inches wide. Each rack will be about 15 pounds depending on the wood used.
